vya is a female fronted progessive band from Montclair, NJ. Instrumentally combining ideas from progressive rock, djent, metal and fusion music which serves as the foundation for Skye Hall's unique and powerful vocals to shine.

Some of vya's notable shows include playing with: Invent Animate, Monuments, Body Thief, Deadlands (x2), Greylotus, Sarah Longfield, Void of Vision, Thrown, Aviana, Felix Martin, Exist, Poh Hock, Ando San and more. 

vya was founded in January 2023 by Drummer Angelo Limentani alongside Vocalist Skye Hall and Bassist Mike Rodriguez. After a few weeks of searching they found Guitarist Dylan Sutton to complete their original lineup. In September of 2024 vya officially announced Guitarist Julian Billa had joined as their fifth member, completing their lineup.

They released their debut record ‘Instar’ on March 21st 2025. Featuring songs like Silkweaver, Another Parasite and Lips on a Blade, among others.
